The Manna community came together in January to commemorate the legacy of Dr. King.
We opened our Silver Spring Choice Market for tours and recipe demonstrations; community members were invited to learn about the dynamic programming at Manna and where we’re headed.
The day ended with elected officials and community advocates coming together for roundtable discussion on ending childhood hunger. Panelists included Delegate Jared Solomon, Councilmember Gabe Albornoz, Heather Bruskin (MC Food Council), an MCPS Mother and Manna Participant, and Shaun Sawko (MCPS Division of Food & Nutrition Services).

Manna collaborated with longtime partner (and presenting sponsor of our 40th Celebration!) Giant Food to host food drives at select Giant locations across Montgomery County.
Our volunteers did an incredible job greeting customers and collecting donations.
