Roberts Oxygen & Schattner Foundation Challenge Success!

WOW!

Thanks to many of you, we reached our October goal, raising $150,000 to meet our Matching Gift Challenge! We are so grateful to all of our supporters who made this possible, including Roberts Oxygen and Employees for their one-to-one match of the first $100,000 donated, and to the Robert Shattner Foundation for extending the challenge and matching an additional $50,000. 

With many Montgomery County families already food insecure before the pandemic, a staggering 95,000+ of our neighbors are struggling to put nutritious food on the table.

In response, our County and Greater Washington Community Foundation launched FOOD FOR MONTGOMERY, a public-private initiative working to address the alarming spike in food insecurity due to COVID-19 by facilitating a number of initiatives, including this Matching Gift Challenge.
