Salary Range Salary Range: $79,000.00 – $86,000.00 Salary Travel Percentage: Up to 35%

Job Summary: Manna’s Development team is seeking an enthusiastic and entrepreneurial person to secure philanthropic contributions from corporations and facilitate engagement opportunities for their employees. Manna seeks to expand opportunities for corporate partnerships that generate revenue, volunteerism, and in-kind product donations in support of its mission. Under the direction of the Director of Development and Communications, the Manager of Development and Community Partnerships is responsible for implementing the annual strategy and managing activities leading to the identification, qualification, cultivation, stewardship, and solicitation of corporate donors. You’ll be a great fit for this role if you are enthusiastic about taking on new projects and embracing challenges with creativity and resourcefulness.

Key Responsibilities:
–  Collaborate with the DoD&C to create and execute a comprehensive annual strategy for corporate engagement while also holding accountability for surpassing annual revenue targets through corporate donations.
– Effectively oversee and engage with an active portfolio of 50-75 corporate and foundation donors, while crafting compelling proposals tailored to each corporation’s CSR (corporate social responsibility) priorities and aligning them with Manna’s funding opportunities.
– Cultivate and fortify a dynamic pipeline of potential funders through active participation in community events and diligent, proactive research.
– Support preparing funding applications for corporate funds; find new grant opportunities; write and edit grant reports and ensure programmatic compliance.

Summary of Essential Job Functions:
– Establish Manna’s Corporate Council and be accountable annually for fiscal year fundraising goals.
– Coordinate with marketing team to ensure fulfillment of sponsorship commitments.
– Develop and present pitch materials, corporate grant applications, and sponsorship agreements to prospective donors in conjunction with the Director of Development and members of senior leadership.
– Maintain database of prospective and confirmed foundation and corporate partners via Manna’s tracking tools including customer relationship management systems, grants management databases, and other electronic platforms.
– Create, monitor and adhere to monthly tracking metrics and KPIs (key performance indicators) for the active portfolio of corporate constituents to ensure accurate and timely reporting on initiatives.
– Maintain and document information on all corporate relationships and ensure information is properly archived in SalesForce.
– Play a pivotal role in marketing, facilitating, and managing high-impact cause marketing campaigns.
– Work closely with Manna’s volunteer team to support corporate volunteer giving program goals, designed to elevate partnership, enhance volunteer participation, and secure general operating support.
– Accountable for serving as the ambassador of the Manna Food Center in the broader community, encompassing offsite donor speaking engagements and related community outreach initiatives.

Minimum Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree preferred. Relevant work may be substituted for a college degree
– 6+ years of fundraising and/or sales experience.
– High-level proficiency in use of standard information technologies including MS Office software, fundraising databases, AI support and Internet research.
– Ability to persuasively articulate values, stories, and facts to multiple audiences using excellent writing and presentation skills are essential.
– Excellent organizational, time, project management skills with the ability to be agile and flexible when managing multiple projects, shifting priorities and deadlines
– Motivated self-starter able to work independently in the execution of their responsibilities while collaborating with other people and organizations with the ability to demonstrate initiative and a positive attitude
– Strong professionalism and work ethic with the ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality
– Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to a diverse range of people, exercise cultural competence and inclusion, and accept direction and constructive feedback
– Flexibility to adjust hours to meet deadlines and needs of the organization, including availability to work occasional evenings and weekends and travel as needed
– Ability to work a hybrid schedule between onsite and remote work settings.

Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. The employees constantly operate computers and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer. The person in this position frequently communicates with staff, board members, and vendors and must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

Environmental Conditions: The employee will be exposed to a variety of fluctuating environmental conditions within the building including heat and cold. The employee must be able to work in these conditions for up to 2 hours at a time.

School Based Programs Coordinator

Job Summary:

This position is part of the Community Impact team and promotes food security for Montgomery County students and their families through a strategic partnership with Montgomery County Public Schools, Linkages to Learning, and numerous community organizations.  This position will work closely with the Manager to fulfill the goals of Manna’s school-based programs, including implementation of weekend bags, monthly markets, and grocery gift card initiatives. The School-based Programs staff coordinates extensively with Manna’s Operations team to successfully execute the goals of this program.

Essential job functions          

  • Work with Volunteer Manager to recruit, and onboard weekend bag community partners as needed and support relationships with existing community partners.
  • Assist Program Manager with monitoring compliance to food safety and other Manna policies by performing regular site visits to community partners, weekend bag and monthly market distributions.
  • Communicate and coordinate with gift card schools to inform gift card orders and prepare for and schedule card pickups.
  • Contribute to maintenance and tracking of program statistics and preparing grant and/or contract reports with this data.
  • Assist with the evaluation of school-based programs through regular surveys and focus groups.
  • Ensure language accessibility of materials intended for school-based program recipients
  • Support Program Manager with maintenance of school relationships as needed.

Minimum requirements

  • Written and verbal Spanish language proficiency preferred but not required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications, especially Teams, Outlook and Excel.
  • Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience with recording and organizing various data sets.
  • Experience effectively collaborating with diverse staff and volunteers.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Demonstration of effective written and verbal communication.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 pounds. The employee must be able to stand continuously for up to 3 hours at a time. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
